Wade ranch is a working ranch. You will see cattle and crops from your bedroom window! The farmhouse was built in 1869 and has a unique and interesting history. While it has been updated, we celebrate the charm of its age. Many unique aspects of the home have been left to preserve and maintain its historic value and character. Even though we are less than 40 minutes from the Kansas City area, we are very secluded and private.

You won’t forget your romantic stay for 2 at Wade Ranch. Enjoy a cozy night's stay with free gift basket and other special touches. You will have access to the Farmhouse’s 1st floor and rec room. With this package, you will not have access to the upper level of the home, but you will be the only guests staying in the home and have the house to yourselves. Sleeps 2.

Fish at Wade Ranch
Wade Ranch at Hillsdale Lake is perfect for fishing enthusiasts. Our Farmhouse is located just down the road from Hillsdale Lake’s Wade Branch Access, a primitive boat ramp and fishing area. Fishing is allowed on all 51 miles of shoreline and approximately 4,500 acres of surface water, except for developed beach areas and boat ramps. More than 70 percent of the standing timber was left in the reservoir basin to provide fish habitat. Walleye, catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill are abundant. Special length limits may apply to some species.

Ride the Saddle Ridge Equestrian Trails
Our ranch is just a short ride to the Saddle Ridge Equestrian Trails which offer about 50 miles of marked trails. While riding, you can enjoy a view of the lake, and may even see some native wildlife. There are four different loops of trail systems: NW blue trail, SE red trail, SW red trail, and the Outlet blut loop. Wade Ranch is a proud member of the Kansas Horse Council. We have ample space for horse trailer parking!
